Air Core Reactors

Phoenix Electric is a leader in the design and manufacture of air core reactors for utility and industrial applications. With a conservative design approach, our reactors generally run cooler than the competition – improving safety and product life. In addition, our use of higher performance wire & cable means expensive dielectric testing is typically not required. Phoenix provides design support and project management to our customers and is frequently called on to handle rush orders.

Current limiting reactors are used in reactive power compensation as well as to protect older equipment from higher fault currents as the power grid grows. PEC designs and manufactures current limiting reactors for both utility and industrial systems up to 200 KV.
